CCMB Hyderabad MTech and PhD Admissions 2025 Opens; Apply Before April 14

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad has released the application deadlines for PhD, IDDP, and M.Tech programs across various specializations. The PhD program is offered in fields such as Biological Sciences, Chemical, Physical, Agricultural, Mathematical, and Information Sciences, as well as Engineering and Medical Research. Additionally, the institute offers an Integrated Dual Degree Program (M.Tech + PhD in Engineering) and an M.Tech program. The application deadline for the PhD program is April 14, 2025, while the deadline for IDDP and M.Tech programs is May 31, 2025.

CCMB Hyderabad MTech and PhD Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in any branch of Science with a minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) or an equivalent grade for General (UR)/General-EWS categories. For OBC (NCL), SC, ST, Third Gender, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), a minimum of 50% marks (without rounding off) or an equivalent grade is required.

Additionally, applicants must possess a valid National-level Fellowship (JRF/SRF) from recognized funding agencies such as CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, etc., or an equivalent fellowship like DBT-BET, INSPIRE, RGNF, etc. (applicable at all AcSIR academic centers).

CCMB Hyderabad MTech and PhD Selection Process 2025

• Online applications will be screened, and eligible candidates will be invited for a computer-based written test at their preferred center or a remote proctored online test.
• Candidates who qualify for the test and possess a valid fellowship for pursuing a Ph.D. will be shortlisted for an in-person interview at CCMB.
• The interview process will consist of two rounds conducted over two separate days.
• A valid fellowship is mandatory for Ph.D. admission at CCMB. Eligible fellowships include:
  • Any National-level fellowship (JRF/SRF) from CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, etc.
  • DST-INSPIRE or any other equivalent fellowship for Ph.D. programs.
