New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the commencement date CBSE Board Exams 2024 Registration for private students in classes 10 and 12. Students can register online for the board exams at cbse.gov.in from September 12 and October 11, 2023. 

No application would be accepted without a registration fee, according to the CBSE Board. For the CBSE Classes 10 and 12 test for private students, candidates must pay a registration fee of INR 1,500 in order to take five exams. 

Candidates from Nepal will need to pay the same amount, but applicants from other nations will need to pay INR 10,000. Indian students must pay INR 300 for each additional course, whereas students from Nepal and other nations must pay INR 1,000 and INR 2,000, respectively. 

The compartment examination fee structure is the same for the new topics. Students from India and Nepal must pay INR 150 per subject for practical exams, while those from other nations must pay INR 350 per topic. In 2024, CBSE will administer exams for private students based on the curriculum listed on the website.

The board has officially announced the categories of private students who are eligible to sit for the board exams in 2024. According to the CBSE announcement, which listed the categories, "The Central Board of Secondary Education will hold the examinations for the following categories of private students in the months of February/March/April - 2024 along with the board's annual examinations 2024."

CBSE Class 10 Private Candidate Registration 2024 Eligibility

Private Class 10 candidates who wish to sit for the CBSE Board Exam in 2024 must meet the following requirements:

  • Students who have been designated as essential retake the test in 2023–24.
  • Candidates who take the board's main exam in 2023 will be compartmented.
  • Candidates given a compartment at first opportunity in August 2023.
  • Announced unsuccessful candidates for the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
  • Passed out candidates of 2023 who seek to reappear in order to raise their performance in one or more disciplines.
  • Candidates who have already passed the 2022 and 2023 exams but want to take another course.
  • Female candidates who are bonafide residents of Delhi.
  • Candidates with physical disabilities who live in Delhi and are old enough to take the Class 10 exam.

The CBSE declared that candidates with physical disabilities and female students from Delhi will have one last chance to take the CBSE Class 10 private exam in 2024. It was also stated that the programme would stop following the exam. Students with physical disabilities must submit a medical certificate, and female students from Delhi must present their original certificate.

CBSE Class 12 Private Candidate Registration 2024 Eligibility

Class 12 students who fall into the following groups may submit a CBSE private candidate form in 2024:

  • In 2023, students designated it as a "Essential Repeat."
  • Students who took the Main-2023 exams under the "Compartment" category.
  • Students who will be classified as 'Compartment' in August or September 2023.
  • Students who received a "Fail" grade in any year between 2017 and 2022.
  • Passed out students of 2023 who want to raise their marks in one or more subjects.
  • Students who graduated in 2022 or 2023 and desire to take an extra subject exam.
  • Candidates who are female and Delhi residents and who passed the 11th grade or its equivalent in 2022 or earlier are eligible.
  • Candidates with physical disabilities who live in Delhi and obtained their high school diploma or its equivalent in 2022 or earlier are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates may fill out the form if they are students at the Delhi Patrachar Vidyalaya.

Students who wish to fill out the CBSE private candidate form for 2024 should adhere to the detailed procedure listed below:

Step 1: Hover to the official website of CBSE @cbse.gov.in.

Step 2: Next, click on the “CBSE Class 10/12 Private Exam 2024 Notification” link present on the homepage. The candidates should go through the notification carefully before proceeding.

Step 3: Now, fill out the CBSE private candidate form by clicking on the link given on the official website.

Step 4: Provide all the valid details and upload the required documents and certificates in the prescribed format.

Step 5: Now, pay the application fee and then submit the CBSE private candidate form.

Step 6: Lastly, download the form for reference in the future.
