BIT Mesra PG Admissions 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Program-wise eligibility criteria are as follows.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech
Candidates must have one of the following:
- B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA or an equivalent degree in relevant disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST).
- M.Sc. / M.A. in relevant fields with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), after completing a 10+2+3 Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- GATE 2023/2024/2025 qualified candidates can get direct admission without a screening test.
- Non-GATE candidates must clear an Online Screening Test (based on the GATE syllabus). Final selection is based on test scores and academic performance.
- Final-year students can apply provisionally and must provide a certificate from their institute confirming they will complete their exams by June 30, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria for MUP
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
- B.Arch / B.Planning / B.E. (Civil Engineering) with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST).
- M.A. / M.Sc. in Geography, Economics, Sociology, or Statistics with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), after completing a 10+2+3 Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Eligibility Criteria for M.SC
- To be eligible for the M.Sc. programs at BIT Mesra, candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university or institution in India, following the 10+2+3 system.
- For B.Sc./B.A. Honours, a minimum of 55% marks in the Honours subject (50% for SC/ST) is required. For other graduate degrees, candidates need at least 55% marks overall (50% for SC/ST).
- Candidates appearing for their final Bachelor's exams in 2025 are also eligible to apply.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Pharm
- Must hold a B.Pharm. degree from a PCI-approved institute.
- Minimum aggregate marks: 55% (General/OBC), 50% (SC/ST).
- Final-year students (2025) can apply provisionally. They must:
- Appear for all final exams by June 30, 2025.
- Provide proof of securing the required marks in their pre-final year.
- Submit final degree and mark sheet by October 31, 2025, or admission will be canceled.
