Bihar UGEAC 2026 Registration Begins; Apply by June 5

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has started the registration process for Bihar UGEAC 2026. Online registration for B.E./B.Tech admissions commenced on May 13, 2026 on the official portal bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

Eligible candidates must complete their registration by June 5, 2026 to participate in the counselling process. Bihar UGEAC 2026 is a state-level merit-cum-choice based admission process for engineering programmes in government and private colleges across Bihar.

The counselling process is being conducted based on JEE Main 2026 scores, and approximately 14,000+ seats are available for admission. Candidates must be Indian citizens with Bihar domicile and possess a valid JEE Main 2026 scorecard to be eligible for participation.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Important Dates

 

Candidates must be Indian nationals and bona fide residents of Bihar meeting domicile requirements. Parents must be permanent residents of Bihar, registered refugees, or employed under government of Bihar/India/UN posted in Bihar. There is no age limit for applying to engineering programmes.

Educational qualifications require passing 10+2 with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computers. Alternatively, candidates with a 3-year diploma in related fields with 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) are eligible. A valid JEE Main 2026 scorecard remains mandatory.

How to Apply for Bihar UGEAC 2026?

• Candidates must visit the official BCECEB website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in to complete registration.
• Click on "Apply for UGEAC-2026" and provide basic details including name, mobile number, and email address.
• Registration credentials are being sent via email and SMS for future login.
• After registration, candidates can log in using their credentials to fill the detailed application form.
• The form requires educational qualifications, family details, and complete address information verified from official documents.
• All information must be accurate and match original certificates.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Document Upload and Application Fee Payment

Candidates must upload scanned images of passport-size coloured photographs and signatures according to BCECEB specifications. The scanned images should be in the prescribed format with file size restrictions. Application fee payment is mandatory for form submission and can be made online using credit/debit cards or internet banking.

The counselling fee for general/EWS/BC/EBC candidates is ₹1,200, while SC/ST and PwD candidates are required to pay ₹600. A processing fee applies over and above the counselling fee. Payment is non-refundable, and unsuccessful transactions are being refunded to the registered bank account.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Merit List and Choice Filling Process

BCECEB will publish the merit list on June 8, 2026 based on JEE Main 2026 scores. Candidates will be able to download their rank cards from the official website by entering UGEAC ID and date of birth. The seat matrix showing available seats in colleges and branches will also be released simultaneously.

After merit list publication, candidates will be able to fill their choices of institutions and branches in order of preference. Candidates can enter multiple choices and lock their final selection through OTP verification sent to registered mobile and email. Choices can be unlocked and modified before the final deadline, but no changes will be allowed after locking.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Counselling Rounds and Seat Allotment

Round 1 counselling registration and choice filling is scheduled to begin on June 10, 2026 on the official portal. Provisional seat allotment for Round 1 will be released in late June, followed by a window for candidates to raise objections. Final seat allotment for Round 1 will be announced in early July after resolving all objections.

Round 2 counselling will follow the same process with provisional allotment in mid-July and final allotment in late July. Seat allotment will be based on merit rank, candidate preferences, and seat availability. Candidates not satisfied with Round 1 allotment will be able to participate in Round 2 for potential upgradation.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Document Verification and Reporting

Candidates must report to designated reporting centres for mandatory document verification after seat allotment. Original documents including JEE Main admit card, scorecard, class 10 and 12 certificates, domicile certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and Aadhar card must be carried. Six passport-size photographs matching JEE Main admit card will also be required.

Failure to complete document verification on the prescribed date will result in seat cancellation and exclusion from subsequent counselling rounds. The reporting centre details and verification dates will be mentioned in the provisional allotment order. Candidates must download and print the allotment letter before visiting the centre.
