For successful registration, candidates must present documents such as recent passport-size color photos, birth certificates or proof of date of birth, S.S.L.C mark sheets, Higher Secondary (10+2) Mark Sheets at the time of admission.
Banaras Hindu University has invited applications for its Master of Veterinary Science program for the academic year 2025. Candidates with a basic undergraduate degree (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) and a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or an OGPA of 6 out of 10 on a 10-point scale are asked to apply by March 9, 2025.

BHU M.V.Sc Program Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Banaras Hindu University's Master of Veterinary Science program, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria listed below.
- A candidate must have a basic undergraduate degree, i.e. B.V.Sc. & A.H., with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or an OGPA of 6 out of 10 on a 10-point scale, or 55% in aggregate or an OGPA of 5.5 out of 10 for SC/ST candidates (see table below).

BHU M.V.Sc Program Selection Process
The university's selection process is as follows:
- The University will choose candidates based on their final OGPA results from the B.V.Sc. and A.H. courses, followed by counselling. Candidates would have to choose a subject during counselling based on seat availability and BHU's reservation policy.
- A merit list will be established for candidates who apply for admission.
- If there is a tie in scores, the performance at the Bachelor's Degree level examination (of the applied topic) shall be used as the criterion. If performance at the degree level is equivalent, seniority in age will determine priority.
BHU M.V.Sc Program Documents Required
Candidates must have the following documents at the time of admission to the Banaras Hindu University Master of Veterinary Science program.
- Recent passport-size colour photos (2 no.)
- Required documents include a birth certificate, proof of date of birth, and S.S.L.C mark sheet.
- Higher Secondary Mark Sheet
- Required documents: B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree / Provisional Certificate, Transcripts of B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree, and Transfer Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution Last Studied.
- Conduct Certificate, provided by the Head of the Institution Last Studied
- Migration Certificate, if given by the Head of the Institution Last Studied
- Please provide your residence and caste certificates (if applicable).
- Required documents: medical fitness certificate and photocopy of Aadhar card.
- EWS Certificate (if applicable)
Candidates' application forms that contain forged/fake certifications or were obtained through fraudulent means will be rejected. A candidate's mere appearance or qualifying marks in the B.V.Sc & AH course do not entitle him/her to be considered for admission to a discipline unless he/she meets the eligibility requirements.
