 BHU Begins PhD Admission 2025

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has started accepting applications for PhD Admission 2025-26, and candidates can submit the online form till December 16, 2025. The university will conduct admissions through JRF and NET modes, followed by document verification and interviews in January. Interested applicants are required to register at the official portal and check the seat matrix, eligibility and schedule mentioned in the admission bulletin. BHU will conduct the process completely online, including call letters and offer issuance.

BHU will offer PhD admission through JRF Mode and NET Mode, and the final merit will depend on the interview performance and percentile. In the JRF Mode, admission will be based on 100% interview percentile, while in the NET Mode, the merit will be 70% NET percentile and 30% interview percentile.

To apply, candidates must first register on bhuonline.in, fill the PhD form for the chosen mode, pay the application fee of ₹600 (General/OBC/EWS) or ₹300 (SC/ST/PwBD), upload all documents correctly, and submit the form. After submission, the confirmation page should be downloaded for reference.

The admission process in BHU will run through multiple rounds if seats remain vacant in the first cycle.
