BAOU UG/PG Application 2026 (July Session) Open; Apply by July 31

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) has started admissions for the July 2026 session for a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. How to Apply?

Candidates need to visit the official BAOU website and complete the admission process online. Before submitting the application form, applicants must generate their ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credits), create a DEB ID, and complete GCAS registration. After entering personal and academic details, candidates should upload the required documents, pay the applicable fee, and submit the form before July 31, 2026.

Step-by-Step Registration Process

The admission process begins with generating an ABC ID through the designated portal, followed by creating a DEB ID as required for distance education admissions. Candidates must then complete their GCAS registration and proceed to the BAOU admission portal. After filling out the application form, applicants should upload the necessary documents, pay the prescribed fee, and submit the form successfully.

Application Fee

The GCAS registration fee is INR 300 for General category candidates and INR 150 for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, and PwBD candidates. The university application fee varies depending on the selected program. All payments must be made through online mode, and candidates are advised to keep the payment receipt for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria

For undergraduate admissions, candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination. Applicants seeking postgraduate admission should hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution. Reservation benefits and category-wise relaxations will be provided according to applicable norms. One of the key advantages of BAOU admissions is that there is no upper age limit for learners enrolling through the open and distance learning system.
