BAOU Opens B.Ed. (ODL) Admission Via GCAS 2024; Check Schedule Here

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University has opened admission for B.Ed. (ODL) programme. Candidates can submit the form physically at the University or by post till December 26, 2024.

B.Ed. (ODL) admissions will occur based on the GCAS (Gujarat Common Admission Services) exam. GCAS registration deadline is till December 20, 2024.

Candidates have to first register on the GCAS portal for the entrance examination.

The BAOU online form should be filled out after the GCAS registration within two hours or the next day with the GCAS registration username and password.

BAOU B.Ed. (ODL) Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates will get admission to BAOU only on merit based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.
• Face to Face Mode in PTC, D.Ed., D.El.Ed., C.P.Ed., B.P.Ed. (Attach NCTE Certificate) as a teacher who has completed minimum two years of full-time paid service in a government-recognized primary, secondary, or higher secondary school.
• Only In-Service Teachers who are Graduate/Post Graduate can apply for this course.
• Candidates must have 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PH) in Science, Commerce, and Arts discipline from a UGC recognized University.
• Candidates with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and PH) in Mathematics, Science in Engineering/ Technical stream are eligible for admission.
• Candidates with minimum 40% marks (60 out of 150) in the entrance examination will be admitted as per merit order.

Candidates have to submit self-attested copies of all the documents with the printed admission form.

• School Leaving Certificate
• Graduation degree Certificate (B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./B.Ε.)
• Postgraduate degree Certificate (M.A./M.Com./M.Sc./М.Е.)
• Marksheet of Face to Face Mode course from NCTE recognized educational institute and certificate with the code number (PTC, D.Ed., D.El.Ed., C.P.Ed., B.P.Ed., etc.)
• Certificates of total experience (employed till date, attaching school experience certificates is mandatory)
• Certificate of current employment
• Caste Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/SEBC)
• Certificate for Physically Handicapped (PH, if applicable)
• Copy of Aadhaar Card

The fee for the B.Ed. (ODL) programme is INR 20,000. Candidates have to pay the fee by cash, cheque, or DD at the time of the admission process.

B.Ed. (ODL) candidates appearing in the merit/cut-off in the entrance examination have to download the call letter from the university website.

The medium of the B.Ed (ODL) course will be Gujarati only. The minimum duration of the course will be two years and the maximum duration for completing the course will be five years.

Candidates will be allowed to choose the center of study and subject during the admission process. Once an entrant has made the selection and paid the fee, the study center and subject will not be changed under any circumstances. Check here for the full admission prospectus.
