BAOU Admission Begins for January Session 2026; Apply Online @baou.edu.in

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU), Ahmedabad, has opened the online application process for UG and PG admissions for the January 2026 academic session. Eligible candidates can apply online through the university’s official portal.

According to BAOU, all students taking admission for the first time are required to pay a Student Development Fee of ₹300. Candidates must also complete the mandatory GCAS registration, which includes payment, profile creation, academic details, course selection, and final submission.

BAOU UG & PG Admission 2026 Dates

For admission to UG and PG programmes, applicants are required to follow a step-by-step process. Students must first generate their ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credits) and DEB ID before proceeding with GCAS registration. After completing GCAS registration, candidates must apply through the BAOU admission portal.

The university has clarified that admissions for B.Ed., Special B.Ed., MLIS, and BLIS programmes will be conducted only during the July session. Applications for these courses will not be accepted in the January cycle.
