Avinashilingam University MBA Admission 2026 Opens at avinuty.ac.in; Apply by January 20

Avinashilingam University has opened the MBA applications for the academic year 2026=27. Interested candidates must apply by January 20, 2026, through the official website avinuty.ac.in.

The General category candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 500, and SC, ST candidates have to pay INR 250. Candidates applying for more than one program have to submit a separate application form.

Avinashilingam University MBA Important Dates 2026

The MBA programme at the Avinashilingam University is offered as a two-year, full-time course, with a total intake of 120 students. For the 2026-27 admission cycle, the MBA programme will be provided in two different specialisations: MBA (Aided), Information Technology and Systems Management, and Human Resource Management.

Admission to the MBA programme will be based on valid CMAT, TANCET, XAT, GMAT, ATMA, CAT, MAT, CMAT, and cutoff scores, as well as work experience. Women applicants are required to hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks, and final year students may also apply.

Avinashilingam University MBA Admission Process

Admission will be merit-based. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores in the entrance exams (CMAT, TANCET, XAT, GMAT, ATMA, CAT, MAT, and CMAT), followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final selection will be based on the total weightage of the above categories.

Avinashilingam University MBA Seat Matrix

According to the official website, 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer), and 1% for Jammu & Kashmir migrants seats have been reserved for.

In addition, a super numerary quota is available with 3% seats each for Persons with Disabilities and Outstanding Sports Persons, and 5% seats for candidates from the Armed Forces.

Two seats are reserved for students from Jammu & Kashmir with a relaxation of up to 10% in the cut-off marks, while candidates admitted under the supernumerary quota are eligible for 5% relaxation in qualifying examination marks. Final pass results must be produced at the time of joining the programme, if selected.

Documents Required

Class 10th, 12th, degree marksheet, CMAT/CAT/TANCET/MAT/XAT/GMAT/ATMA Score Sheet, Transfer certificate/College leaving Certificate, Migration Certificate, ConductCertificate fromthe Head of the Institution in which the candidate last studied, Community Certificate from local Thasildar in the case of SC/ST/MBC/BC and de-notified Tribes belonging to Tamil Nadu only. Candidate in the OBC category to produce a recent OBC Certificate, Medical Fitness Certificate froma Government Civil Surgeon. ACertificate of proof of age. Two passport-size photographs with the name of the candidate and PG programme written on the reverse side.
