Assam Polytechnic 2026 Registration Ongoing; Last Date to Apply May 10

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam has opened the registration portal for admission into state government polytechnics for the 2026-27 academic session. Registration commenced on April 24, 2026 and will remain open until May 10, 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official registration portal at dte-assamadm.samarth.ac.in. The admission process offers approximately 4,385 seats across various government polytechnic institutes in Assam for diploma engineering programs.

The registration portal is now live and candidates are encouraged to complete their applications before the May 10, 2026 deadline to avoid last-minute rush and technical issues. The application fee of INR 300 is payable online through SBI ePay during the registration process. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and have all required documents ready before starting the application process. Eligibility Criteria for Assam Polytechnic 2026-27

Candidates must have passed Class 10 (HSLC - High School Leaving Certificate) examination from a recognized board to be eligible for polytechnic admission. There is no upper age limit for applying to the polytechnic programs. Candidates from all streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts) are eligible to apply for admission. The admission is based on merit calculated from HSLC marks, and no separate entrance examination is required for polytechnic admission.

Candidates must ensure they have valid HSLC certificates and other required documents before applying. The merit list will be prepared based on HSLC marks obtained by candidates. How to Apply for Assam Polytechnic 2026-27?

• Click on "New Registration" or "Apply Now" button on the homepage.
• Fill in your personal details including name, date of birth, and contact information.
• Enter your HSLC examination details including roll number and marks obtained.
• Select your preferred polytechnic institutes and programs in order of preference.
• Upload required documents including photograph, signature, and HSLC certificate.
• Review all information carefully before final submission.
• Pay the application fee of INR 300 through SBI ePay.
• Submit the application form before May 10, 2026.
• Download and print the application confirmation for your records.

After the registration deadline, DTE Assam will prepare merit lists based on HSLC marks.
