Assam down town University Releases PhD Admission 2026 Schedule; Check Dates Here

Assam Down Town University (AdtU), Guwahati, has announced the detailed schedule for PhD Admission 2026 under the AdtU Research Entrance Test (AdtU-RET). The entrance process will be conducted in two phases for various doctoral programmes offered by the university.

As per the official notification, the Phase 1 online application for AdtU-RET will begin on March 2, 2026, and conclude on April 4, 2026. The online examination is scheduled for April 8, 2026, with results to be declared on April 11, 2026. Interviews and presentations of shortlisted candidates will be held on April 22–23, 2026. Admissions for Phase 1 are scheduled between May 11 and May 26, 2026.

For Phase 2, the online application window will open on April 6, 2026, and close on May 7, 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted on May 12, 2026, and results will be announced on May 15, 2026. Interviews will take place on May 25–26, 2026, followed by admissions from June 8 to June 22, 2026.

ADTU PhD Admission 2026 Schedule

Candidates who qualify in UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, GPAT, CEED, SLET, or similar national-level examinations are exempted from the written test but must appear for the interview.

Eligible candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Interested applicants are advised to review the detailed notification and complete the application process within the prescribed timelines through the official website.
