Ashoka University Receives Grant from Harish

New Delhi: The Harish & Bina Shah Foundation (HBSF) donated Rs. 250 crores to Ashoka University making it the most significant single contribution in the university's ten-year history. This generous grant aims to excel in teaching and research in humanities like languages, literature, history, and philosophy.

With this grat, Ashoka University’s aim of imparting education for 5000 students by 2027 has been made easily achievable. The University has begun growing its campus since September 2021. 

The HBSF grant focuses on boosting undergraduate and graduate programs in humanities, aiming to strengthen partnerships and interdisciplinary research. It mainly emphasizes areas where social and natural sciences meet, like development economics, artificial intelligence, societal impact technology, and healthcare advancements.

HBSF, a Mumbai-based charitable foundation established by Harish and Bina Shah of Signet Excipients Pvt. Ltd., seeks to invest in India’s future through students and institutions.
