Ashoka University Join Hands with Monash University to Strengthen Academic Ties

New Delhi: Ashoka University has joined hands with Monash University, Australia with the aim to facilitate cooperative research initiatives of shared interest in disciplines like health humanities, data sciences, and more.

Through this collaboration, Ashoka University and Monash University will establish a structure for the flow of academic information, scholars, and students. In addition to this, the two institutes will jointly organize seminars, workshops, and other academic events for students.

Speaking on this occasion, Somak Raychaudhury, Vice Chancellor of Ashoka University said, “Ashoka University strongly believes in this principle, and therefore has continued to collaborate with the world’s leading institutions to provide such a pathway to our family of faculty, scholars, and students in India”.

“The partnership with Monash University reaffirms this commitment, and I look forward to the endless academic possibilities that this partnership will nurture”, he added. As a part of this student exchange agreement, students can take study opportunities at both universities.

Vanita Shastri, Dean of Global Education & Strategic Partnerships, at Ashoka University, added that To begin this partnership, the university will host one student from Monash University this semester. This will offer researchers and students the greatest global possibilities.

Adding to the statement, Katie Stevenson, Dean of Arts at Monash University shared that both institutions deeply value excellence in research and offer the best education for the world's future leaders. The collaboration will improve the work of both of our organizations, he added.
