AP NEET Counselling 2024: Special Stray Vacancy Round for BDS MQ Seats Announced

NTRUHS has announced a Special Stray Vacancy Round Web Counseling for BDS course under MQ. Candidates can submit their security deposits within November 26, 2024.

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, has released a notification for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of web-based counselling for admission into the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course under Management Quota seats for the academic year 2024-25. This round is being conducted to fill the vacant seats that remain after Phase-III counselling.

Important Dates and Schedule

  • Security Deposit Payment:
    • Start: November 22, 2024, 10:00 AM
    • End: November 26, 2024, 02:00 PM
    • Refundable deposit: ₹2,00,000/- for BDS (₹3,00,000/- already paid for MBBS is also valid for BDS).
  • Web Options:
    • Candidates must exercise fresh web options for this round, as previous preferences are null and void.
  • Allotment Release:
    • Tentatively scheduled for November 26, 2024.

Key Details of the Counselling

  • Purpose: The Special Stray Vacancy Round is aimed at filling vacant BDS Management Quota seats to avoid wastage of precious resources in medical education.
  • Eligibility:
    • Candidates already in the final merit list displayed on September 15, 2024, and November 2, 2024, for Management Quota are eligible.
    • Candidates should not hold any seats from previous rounds of NEET UG counselling (All India/State/Deemed University).
  • Exclusions:
    • Candidates who joined MBBS/BDS seats through any other quota, including All India or State Quota, are not eligible.
    • Candidates already allotted seats in previous Stray Vacancy Rounds or those holding MBBS seats in Special Stray Vacancy Rounds are also ineligible.

Security Deposit and Rules

  • The refundable deposit is collected to prevent seat blocking.
  • Forfeiture Cases:
    • Non-joining of allotted seats.
    • Providing false information during registration.
    • Failure to produce required documents during admission.
  • Refunds will be processed after admissions closes for candidates who do not receive a seat or join the allotted college.

  • Category B: 23 seats
  • Category C (NRI): 47 seats
