AP ICET 2026 slot 1 and slot 2 exams concluded successfully. Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will release the provisional answer key on May 5, 2026 at 5 PM. Candidates can download the question paper, answer key, and response sheet.

The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) 2026 for both slot 1 and slot 2 has been successfully concluded. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam conducted the examination in Computer-Based Test mode across 25 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The exam was held in two shifts with slot 1 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and slot 2 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now expect the provisional answer key to be released on May 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM on the official portal cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.
The AP ICET 2026 examination comprised 200 multiple-choice questions divided across three sections: Analytical Ability (75 questions), Mathematical Ability (55 questions), and Communication Ability (70 questions). The overall difficulty level of the examination was reported as moderate by candidates. Slot 1 analysis showed Analytical Ability as moderate, Mathematical Ability as moderate, and Communication Ability as easy. Slot 2 analysis indicated Analytical Ability as moderate, Mathematical Ability as moderate, and Communication Ability as easy.

The provisional answer key will be released on the official website cets.apsche.ap.gov.in on May 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates can download the preliminary answer key and question paper for both slot 1 and slot 2 from the official portal. To download the response sheet, candidates must click on the 'Response Sheet' tab and enter their login details. Candidates will be able to view their responses along with the master question paper and answer key through the 'Get Key Details' tab.
Candidates who disagree with any answer in the provisional answer key can challenge it by paying a fee of INR 300 per question. The challenge window will open after the provisional answer key is released. Candidates must submit their objections through the official portal with proper justification and supporting documentation. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will evaluate all challenges and prepare the final answer key based on expert review and candidate objections.
The examination followed a straightforward marking scheme with one mark awarded for each correct answer. There was no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions, allowing candidates to attempt all questions without penalty. The question paper was available in both English and Telugu languages to accommodate candidates' preferences. The exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test mode with no breaks provided during the 150-minute examination duration.

Candidates reported that the examination was manageable and student-friendly compared to national-level entrance exams. The no negative marking policy encouraged candidates to attempt all questions to maximize their scores. Good attempts were considered to be 160 or more questions for a strong score, with 180 or more attempts indicating top performance. The expected rank calculation showed that scores of 198-171 would likely result in ranks 1-10, while scores of 60-51 would result in ranks 25,001 and above.

The expected cutoff ranks for various institutes varied significantly based on category and gender. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University showed closing ranks of 628 for male general category and 2,032 for female general category. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering had closing ranks of 862 for males and 514 for females. JNTU School of Management Studies Self-Finance showed closing ranks of 1,820 for males and 1,434 for females. These cutoff ranks provide candidates with an indication of their admission prospects based on their expected scores.
