Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham with a Global Alliance Launches 'SustIN' for a Sustainable Future

New Delhi: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham started a group called SustIN to help make the world better and stronger. They used the internet and brought together important people from UNESCO, other groups, and different countries. They talked about their plans, focused on important areas, and discussed how they can work together better.

The President of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham talked about using both Science and kindness to solve problems. He said that if we treat nature well, it will help us back. He also said that when we face big problems like disasters, we should not just use technology, but also show care and kindness towards each other.

Who all were a part of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham ‘SustIN’?

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Tim Curtis from UNESCO, Mr. Gopinathan Achamkulangare from the United Nations, Sampoojya Swami Amritaswaroopananda Puri, President of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Dr. Maneesha V Ramesh, who leads UNESCO's work on learning for sustainable innovation, and Dr. Joost Monks, an advisor to UNESCO's efforts in sustainable innovation.
This group was made by the people at Amrita who care a lot about making things better for everyone. They started this group during a two-day meeting when experts talked about making a school program that teaches everyone how to take care of the Earth. They think teachers are really important in teaching kids about this stuff. Lots of different ideas were shared to make sure our future is good and safe.
