Admissions at AMU are conducted through a mix of national-level and university-level entrance examinations depending on the programme selected by candidates. Undergraduate admissions are mainly based on CUET-UG, while postgraduate courses consider CUET-PG scores.

Engineering aspirants can apply through AMUEEE or JEE, whereas medical seats are filled through NEET.

For management programmes, the university accepts CAT or CMAT, and GATE scores are considered for several postgraduate technical courses. Students must carefully select the appropriate entrance test according to their chosen stream.

The application form fee is INR 700 for most applicants. However, the university provides fee relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government and institutional rules. Applicants should check eligibility for concessions before submitting the form.

Once the results are announced, shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in the counselling process. This stage includes online choice filling, seat allotment, fee payment and document verification.

Students must carry all necessary documents such as the admit card, scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, category certificate (if applicable), valid ID proof and passport-size photographs. Keeping these documents ready in advance helps avoid last-minute issues during admission.

Candidates are advised to check the official website of AMU and collegedunia.com for the latest updates.
