AKU PhD Admission Test 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant or allied subject from a recognized university.
• Relaxation: A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is provided for candidates belonging to SC, ST, EBC, BC, and Differently-abled categories.
• Ineligible Candidates: Candidates currently appearing in their Master’s final exams are not eligible to apply for PAT 2026.

AKU PhD Admission Test 2026 Selection Process

The selection is a two-step process:

1. Written Test (PAT 2026): Candidates must clear the Ph.D. Admission Test consisting of Paper-I (General/Research Aptitude) and Paper-II (Subject Specific).
2. Interview/Viva-Voce: Qualified candidates and those exempted from the written test (NET/JRF/GATE /SET holders) must appear before the interview board. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance.
