AIIMS Raipur PhD Admission Guidelines Released; Check Details Here

New Delhi: AIIMS Raipur has released the guidelines for PhD Admission 2024. As per the new guidelines, the PhD degree will not indicate the speciality or subject and PhD Admissions at AIIMS Raipur will be done based on marks scored in the entrance exam. The total cost of the AIIMS Raipur program is INR 4125 per year.

As per AIIMS Raipur PhD Admission Guidelines all the vacant seats after the entrance examination will be advertised in national dailies during February or March for the July Session. Departments are requested to send the number of seats that are advertised in each session. All information and the number of seats available should be uploaded on the AIIMS, Raipur official website.

AIIMS Raipur Faculty Members may serve as the chief guide of up to two Ph.D. students at any given time in departments where the full body of students is being admitted to postgraduate medical courses (MD, MS, DM, M.Ch, MPT, MPH). In departments where the full body of students is not being admitted to postgraduate courses, each faculty member may serve as the chief guide of up to five PhD students.

AIIMS Raipur PhD Admission Process

• The candidate must possess a postgrauduate degree or medical degree in the subject or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and National Medical Commission Act, 2019 and candidates with MBBS/BDS/MS/MDS/MD degrees can apply.

• Candidate who hold a Master’s Degree in any subject that is recognized by UGC institutes are also eligible.
• Candidates with MSc Nursing degree will be eligible.
• Distance learning Master’s degree candidates are not eligible.
• Candidates obtaining at least 55% marks in their degree shall be eligible to apply for PhD entrance exam.

AIIMS Raipur PhD Selection Process

• Selection for the AIIMS Raipur PhD Course will be done with a two-stage performance evaluation through an entrance test in Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, and Medical. In-house candidates should not appear in the exam.
• An extra 10 marks will be added to the score of Stage 1 for the candidate fulfilling below criteria:
• Candidate must also qualify any one of GATE, NBHM, CSIR JRF, CSIR-UGC NET for JRF, ICMR-SRF, DBT-JRF. INSPIRE or are sponsored candidates in the last 2 years with valid scores. 

Note- Email notifications will be sent to the selected candidates followed by a medical exam.
