ABV IIITM Announces 2-Day Workshop on Advancements in Medical Image Analysis

New Delhi: The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV IIITM), Gwalior is set to hold a 2-day workshop on the topic “Advancements in Medical Image Analysis: Theory and Hands-on Workshop on Cutting Edge Technologies.” The workshop will take place on April 20 and April 21, 2024. 

The event will be organized by the Centre for BioMedical Research at ABV IITM. It is open for applications from UG and PG students, researchers, as well as professionals in the medical industry. The last date to apply for the workshop is April 01, 2024. You can register for the workshop from their official website at iiitm.ac.in or fill in the Google form from the direct link below.

Details of the ABV IIITM 2-Day Workshop

Medical Image Analysis is a prudent skill to keep abreast of, especially with technologies like AI and machine learning making pathbreaking changes in the field. The 2-day workshop hosted in hybrid mode (both online and offline) by ABV-IIITM will include six to eight hands-on sessions on medical image analysis from industry experts

It will help participants understand how these technologies can be used to diagnose patients more accurately and efficiently. This will help them gain new insights into patient care that they can take forward to their practice, research, or skill development endeavors. 

Participants will have to pay INR 1000 as a registration fee, which will serve towards the workshop and their food expenses. Accommodation in the hostel will also be provided for an extra cost if you so desire. However, in a special offer, the first 25 participants who want to participate offline will get free entry into the workshop

The workshop will be coordinated by Prof. Mahua Bhattacharya, Dr. I. A. Ansari, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Narinder Singh Punn, and Dr. Biswabandhu Jana. Tentative Speakers include Samsung Architect Deep Bera, Sovan Dhara from NIT Rourkela and Arthrex Inc AI Engineer Sutanu Bera.
