Department of ECE offers IT enabled design and manufacturing-based curriculum that helps the students to promote their problem solving skills and innovate new technologies. Department offers interdisciplinary courses and projects for providing cross cutting knowledge to the students to pursue their interest. The curriculum is periodically revised for introducing new scientific and technological developments after rigorous brainstorming sessions with stakeholders from industry, alumni and academia. Undergraduate students are encouraged to undertake various research projects and spend time in industry. Department is actively involved in several collaborative research activities, and indeed this culture of collaboration is one of the major strengths of the department that enables integrative research based on interactions between investigators in different disciplines. The research programs provide facilities and support for graduate students to pursue their advanced study. Department is actively involved in several ongoing funded projects from various central agencies such as The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity), Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), UKEIRI, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), etc.
