University of Siegen follows a semester-based calendar and accepts applications for its summer and winter academic sessions. Interested candidates can apply directly from the university website or fill via post. It also has international partnerships with over 171 institutions and provides UG, PG, post-graduate and post-master degrees in accounting, arts administration, finance, general management and many more. The University of Siegen witnessed an enrolment of 18,988 undergraduates and 2,421 international students in the previous year.
Students while applying shall mandatorily know the German language and appear DSH Exam thereby gaining a score of Level 2 and Level 3. International students also need to prove their skills in the English language as well, for that a TOEFL iBT score of 79 or IELTS score of 5.5 is essential. Apart from all other requirements, a student shall also have a legal passport and the information of its financial support information. All the documents must be translated into English or German before submitting.

University of Siegen International Students Admissions
Students from more than 100 countries apply to the University of Siegen. All the faculties accept international student applications. If you are not sure about the course you want to study then the institution also provides you with a study interest Test. Basic Admission Requirements: The following requirements must be fulfilled-

English Language Proficiency Requirements
All international students are required to submit a certificate of German Language proficiency translated in German or English by a sworn translator along with the following minimum required scores :

Visa Process for International Students
The visa process for the University is very different for EU nationals and non-EU nationals. To study in the institution you must apply for a National Visa (D-Visa). The requirements to get a visa are as follows-
- A valid passport.
- Proof of the activity/reason for going to Germany.
- Health insurance / financial resources for the stay.
- Accommodation information for the whole stay.
- Marriage and birth certificates of close relatives.
- The process is to be started only after the invitation letter is issued.

I like the work-life balance that's why I chose Germany. The university of Siegen has a good academic program with amazing infrastructure and is built in the heart of mountains with breath taking views.
Likes:
- its One of the Public University in Germany that offers Mechatronics programs. Also I'm very much interested in learning interdisciplinary skills .
- They treat every student equally irrespective of their grade, nationality, gender. They support students by all means they can. The University has campus all over the city and students has access to all the equipment and lab all the time but only with prior appointments. null

- The only thing that I hate the most is the weather. Its unpredictable during winter. The main campus is at the mountain which makes students difficult to reach during snowfall. null

If your degree was earned in a country whose official language is English as recognized by the university, you will be exempted from submitting a valid ELP test score. Otherwise you will be asked to submit a valid ELP test score to prove your language proficiency.
The University of Siegen does not offer M.Sc. Microbiology course to the students.
