- The Master's degree in Meteorology benefits from the embedding of meteorology in the Hamburg climate campus with the Cluster of Excellence "Integrated Climate System Analysis and Prediction" (CliSAP), which has been bundling and networking Hamburg's climate research since 2007.
- The course provides in-depth knowledge of mathematics, physics and data processing. With the Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, students prepare for a subsequent job in a managerial position or for a doctorate.
- The students are involved in research projects at an early stage and often take part in field experiments
