The master’s course in Fine Arts is about free art. The core area of the course is artistic practice in workshops and ateliers. The following subjects are available for the deepening and professionalization of skills that have already been acquired: drawing/graphics, painting/sculpture, new media.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A first professional university degree (usually a bachelor's degree) and proof of at least 65 credit points in the study of fine arts are required. If the first professional university degree was not obtained at the University of Greifswald, it is necessary to pass an aptitude test (folder).
- Prior to commencing studies, students will be required to provide proof of German language proficiency. The following certificates are recognized by the University of Greifswald for applications to a full degree course:
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber’ (DSH) at least level 2*
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz’ (level 2)
- the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 from the Goethe Institute
- the ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’ (Test DaF), at least level 4 in all partial examinations*
- the certificate ‘telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule’
- a completed degree in German Studies, an assessment test with German as an examination subject.
