  • Environmental compatibility, social acceptance and international competitiveness are the decisive aspects for the design, construction and operation of technical facilities today. The students of the environmental engineering course at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg are trained for these requirements. 

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

  • The entry requirements for the Master of Science in Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Freiberg are as follows:

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of German: A1 when applying, DSH-2 for studying.
  • Alternatives to the DSH exam: You do not have to take the DSH exam if you can show one of the following certificates:
    • "German Language Diploma" of the Minister of Education Conference - Level II (DSD II).
    • Passed the "Central high school exam"  of the Goethe Institute.
    • Test "German as a foreign language" (Test DaF), level 4 in all areas.
    • Passed German part of the assessment test.
    • telc German C1 University.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • A 12-week industrial internship in a relevant field.
  • A research proposal.
