Likes
- The university overall was quite nice. The faculty was great as well.
Dislikes
- The City itself, Chemnitz, is quite terrible, fluent German is a must for socializing here unless you want to be stuck with people only speaking your mother tongue or English. There's not a lot of activities to do in Chemnitz, it's a dull and underdeveloped city. A huge drawback for choosing to study here. I'd would personally keep it as my last backup.
- However, regarding my course, it felt too theoretical at times. Too much memorization. I would have personally preferred to work or learn actual skills needed to thrive in Industry, PhD, such as working in a lab with actual instruments, etc. instead of memorizing paragraphs for exams.
Course Curriculum

- Not a lot of industry exposure at my time. Research experience was good. They have some very nice research groups in TU Chemnitz. Course Syllabus was quite poor when I was studying but they keep updating it every year; I'm not aware of the current situation. There were around 30-40 students in my class.
Fees
- No tuition fees in Germany. But you need to show around 10-11 LPA Rupees to get a visa. You pay around 250 Euros every semester for using University facilities, 130 Euros per month for your Health Insurance, these are mandatory costs.
