The degree program "German Studies" is made up of the subsections (German) Literature and Language Studies. The Bachelor programme has a special focus on the intercultural dimensions of German Studies. In all the aforementioned subsections, for instance, a very special emphasis is placed on the aspects arising from contact with the respective non-German pendant (literature, language, culture, persons). This encompasses an elective speciality in the field of German as a second language.
