To be eligible for admission to M.Ed English at RUB Uni, applicants must meet specific academic and language requirements.

- Students who apply for the Master of Education program must have a Bachelor (or comparable) degree in English / American Studies + other subjects within the scope of the combination options at the RUB.
- The completion of a one-month school orientation internship as well as a one-month professional internship
- Studies in educational sciences with a scope of 9 CP, in which elements about basic educational, development, and socialization theoretical requirements of school education and school lessons as well as professionalization theories and teacher models.
- Studies in "German for students with an immigrant background" or comparable studies amounting to 6 CP.
- Compulsory counseling in both subjects and in educational sciences in accordance with the subject-specific provisions.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Most of the courses at the RUB are held in German. Students must therefore have sufficient knowledge of German and provide evidence by obtaining one of the following language certificates:
- TestDaF with at least 16 points within an examination
- DSH (level 2 or 3)
- German Language Diploma - DSD - II
- ZOP or Goethe Certificate C2 from the Goethe Institute
- KDS or GDS from the Goethe Institute
- ÖSD language diploma C1
- telc German C1 Hochschule
- Assessment test (examination part German)
