Bachelor students can choose political science in Trier as a major or minor. Political science can be studied in combination with all other subjects at the University of Trier - the combination of political science and public law (NF) is also possible Master's students have the choice between a general political science course, the English-language programs International Economics and Public Policy( IEPP ) and European and East Asian Governance ( EEAG ), as well as the master's program in Democratic Politics and Communication ( DPK ).

- Student required a proof of bachelor's degree to take admission in this master's program.
