The subject of Classical Archeology at the University of Trier, taking into account the cultural and historical context, researches the material culture of Greek and Roman antiquity from its beginnings to late antiquity both in the Mediterranean region and in Trier and the surrounding area. Classical archeology deals with art and culture in a broad understanding, which also includes objects of everyday life as well as questions of economic history, religion, and social history.
