- Public university (low tuition fee )
- Located in a relatively medium scale city (living cost cheaper, berlin is the nearest city)
Dislikes
- Less international exposure depending on the course of study (engineering course has less amount of internationals)
Course Curriculum

- The course syllabus is a mix of both fundamental and relatively updated with respect to industrial research.
- There are numerous research opportunities, and industrial opportunities are available through the university's job portal. Depends on the personal choice of the students and how they plan for it; it is a lecture and tutorial for a given course. Depends on the intake for a specific semester.
Admission Experience
- The course catalog was good, gives option to pursue both PhD and industrial job (not a pure application program), admission process happens via uniassist, one of the best uni for research studies and the variety of electives to choose from and constant improvement of the faculty in terms of education.
Campus Life

- The campus is distributed across a big neighbourhood, with departments and their workstations of their own, specific faculties and their clubs for academic and non-academic activities, sport, and library facilities are really great, with a versatile amount of things to explore and pursue.
Part Time Jobs
- 15.21 euros per hour within the university. Job portal, reaching out to professors and postdocs. 20 hours per week. Depends on the skill and experience of a student. There is always an opportunity with respect to language and experience.
Placement

- Strictly at the moment, 2026-2027, full-time opportunities are limited compared to pursuing a PhD; however, with enough prior experience and a good understanding of German, a job can be secured within a year
- Depends on the city and its living costs; however typical graduate earns around 50000 euros/year
- There is a uni career portal and job fairs, along with online job portals, highly dependent on networking and entering early as an intern in the industry

- Facebook, WhatsApp group, local apps (WG gesucht, Kleinanzeigen, etc) 2. 300-400 euros per month (refer to warm and cold rent in Germany)
Exams
- Not only IELTS, but also German learning up to B1 before entering will be highly appreciated
- IELTS: 7 (overall). This was the only requirement for my course (Chemical and Energy Engineering); however, the criteria for admission depend on the course (like GATE score or work experience)
