Likes
- This university has a world famous professors and teaching faculties in the field of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. In addition to that they also have large laboratories for experiment and research work. One of my senior during my bachelor degree time, introduced this university and their way of teaching. He also told me about the future job amd career prospect after this course. And now almost everyone from my batch got job and doing good in career.
- Primarily research projects that this university is doing they are great for master students one can directly do master thesis or internship under this big research projects get hands on experience. Other than that infrastructure and all are great too.
Dislikes
- Professors or campus can not unfortunately help in getting placement. One has to find everything on their own. Professors are interested in doing research and hiring great students for PhD purpose.
Required Exams for Admission
Overall I would say it was nice if someone wants to study they provide everything what ypu need all resources for research worls are available. There are laboratories where you can do master thesis in your desired area of interest. You can work under phd student. And make him or her ypur mentor like i did, whi can help you succed. I gor this opportunity at OVGU.
Course Curriculum
It is very diverse one can choose or select from big course catalogue and decide where he or she want to move ahed in career. One also has opportunity to work with the professors and get paid as well for research work which is useful to get job in future.
Faculty
During my time there were 70 to 100 students in typical class but nowadays they have low numbers like 50. Prof. Dr.ing thevenin and prof. Dr. Ing berend van wachem. And also my supervisor Dr.ing. olivier cleynen have left great impression on me.
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty good there is mensa where one can get good food at low cost. There are always some events to know many people. There are also hostels where one can stay but most students prefer to have their own apartment and they share with 3 to 5 people. Library is amazing really big one can borrow book for month and reborrow too. Uni is equipped with wifi and many sports facelities. You name it they have it.
Placement
In my batch every one got job except one, but he caught cheating and failed 3 times. Upon failing 3 times in same subject your degree got cancelled and you have to start again new course.
Accommodation
We were living on WG or private apartment shared by 4 we found from ebay. It was just fine. Like 700 euro for 4 person per month including everything.
Exams
My score of IELTS were 7.5 but it requires 6.5, then this course requires bachelor degree in engineering like B.E or B.Tech in mechanical, chemical or process engineering related. Suffeiciently good scores german equivalent is required like better than 2.0. Yes I have submitted 3 LoRs, SoP and CV as well. There is no interview, one has to submit through uni assist portal in germany There is no interview. There is one portal called uni assist one has to send one time documents and then one can apply to many universities and one of them is this university. For each application there is specific cost like 40 to 50 euro. There are also many university where one dont required this portal meaning application to that universities are free of charge on their website, but they often have different requirements like german language, some other exams and interviews as well.
Fees
120 euro per semester. Now maybe they have increase by 5 euro but this includes city transportation too. One can extend the study upto 9 semesters in case some one wants to do internship. One can also take break of 1 semester for rest and then you dont need to pay fee for that semester.
Scholarship
I have not recieved any scholarships but students in Germany can get loan for studies without puting any securities with simple interest of minimum upto 4 percent per annum.
