Likes
- Good curriculum providing in depth knowledge about the subject, almost zero tuition fees in Germany.
- The faculty is very nice, experienced and motivating. Also the university is one of the most renowned university in Germany and also worldwide. So it's good to have the name of such prestigious university as your alma mater. Also the good part about studying in Germany is that one can study with very nominal fees which is comparable or even cheaper than what one would study in india
Dislikes
- The department can get more funding and get more focus/priority from the university management. Also it can me more supportive for international students like housing, better language courses, job preparations/Training (applicable for both international and domestic students), there can be more options of English courses offered computer science department which are also more practical/handson oriented that prepares students for industry
Required Exams for Admission
Overall I enjoyed my studying at the university. I got lots of knowledge which boosted my confidence. Also gave me experience and perspective how things are done in Germany or at international level in general.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is very research oriented, it's perfect for those who want to go for PhD, research. But overall it's good and gives in depth knowledge and professors are helpful.
Faculty
The faculty student ration is 1:4. The professors are highly qualified, helpful and motivated. They are very much approachable. They help every time.
Campus Life
There is Bootcamp, computer science clubs. The library is very well equipped which lots of studying, co-working spaces. The research environment is quite good and motivating.
Placement
The university doesn't provide any direct campus placements. But there are job fairs organized from time to time. Also the students can also go for PhD programs in the university and also other universities.
Accommodation
I lived in a student accommodation/dorm. I have my own room with shared kitchen and toilets that was shared by 5-6 people. Electricity, heating and internet was included in the rent. My rent was 340 euros.
Exams
GRE: 307(verbal 150, Quant 157) 2018, IELTS: 7.0(reading 7.5, writing 7.0, listening 7.0, speaking 6.5), 2018. CV, SOP( mention about yourself, your achievements, motivation and also why you want to pursue the course), 3LoRs( some positive feedback from the professors whose course you attended at undergrad).
