TN 12th Exam Pattern 2023 will release TN 12th syllabus, books and exam pattern for Tamil Nadu 12th Exams 2023. The time table for revision tests 1 and 2 will be released by the board tentatively in November. Tamil Nadu Board will conduct two revision tests for class 12 students in January 2023.

  • The TN 12th board exams will be conducted from March 13 to April 3, 2023
  • The practical exam will be held from April 25, 2023

TN 11th Exam Pattern 2023

Class 11th Exam Pattern of Tamil Nadu State Board Exam will include the combination of Internal and External Assessment.

  • Class 11th Language papers i.e., Paper – I & Paper – II will carry 90 marks each with remaining 10 marks awarded through internal assessment.
  • The minimum Pass mark is 35 out of 100 for successful clearing of the examination.
  • In case of Practical examination, students will be required to acquire a minimum of 20 marks in theory out of 70 and 15 marks in practical out of 25 with an overall of 35 marks to clear the exam.

  • For theory exams, students are required to score at least 40 marks out of 150 and 30 marks out of 50 for the practical exams.
  • Overall students will need a minimum of 70 marks in total out of 200 marks to qualify and clear the exam successfully.

The design of the TN Board 12th Physics blueprint and marking scheme is given below:

  • Time: 3 Hours Total Marks: 150
  • Of the total 230 marks, 35 marks are allocated to numerical problems (In Part I – 5 numerical problems, Part II – 5 numerical problems, and Part III – 3, numerical problems)
  • In part III, 3 numerical problems should be given. Out of these three problems, any one numerical problem should be made compulsory. This compulsory problem should have an internal choice, provided both the problems must be from the same chapter (unit).
  • Out of the 220 marks, at least 60% marks should be allocated for the questions from solved problems, self-evaluation questions and exercise problems. The rest will be from the content of the textbook
  • MCQ – Multiple Choice Question VSA – Very Short Answer, SA – Short Answer LA – Long Answer

(i) Total of 230 marks is inclusive of choice.

(ii) There can be a slight variation of 5%.

TN 12th Exam Pattern 2023 of Chemistry

The design of the TN Board 12th Chemistry blueprint and marking scheme is given below:

  • Time: 3 Hours Total Marks: 150
  • There will be 12 short answer questions, 21 very short answer questions, and 30 objective questions.
  • That is, part 1 will include 30 MCQs, part 2 will consist of 21 very short answers of which 15 should be answered and part 3 will contain 12 short answers of which 7 are compulsory.
  • For part 4, there are 6 questions of which 3 need to be answered along with the one either-or type question that is compulsory.

Note: 1. While preparing multiple choice questions, the question paper setter should not give options like ‘any of the above’ and ‘both A and B’

2. The options to be given are selected only from the text contents. Avoid unfamiliar,

irrelevant, and non–textual matters.

3. There should not be any ambiguous options and there must be only one appropriate

answer among the four alternatives.

4. Questions are to be framed in such a manner that the candidates should write

the VSA within 2 minutes, SA within 5 to 6 minutes, and LA within 15 to 16 minutes.
