- TN State Board Exams for Class 10th are conducted for a total of 100 marks with minimum passing marks being 35.

TN 11th Exam Pattern 2023
Class 11th Exam Pattern of Tamil Nadu State Board Exam will include the combination of Internal and External Assessment.
- Class 11th Language papers i.e., Paper – I & Paper – II will carry 90 marks each with remaining 10 marks awarded through internal assessment.
- The minimum Pass mark is 35 out of 100 for successful clearing of the examination.
- In case of Practical examination, students will be required to acquire a minimum of 20 marks in theory out of 70 and 15 marks in practical out of 25 with an overall of 35 marks to clear the exam.

- Of the total 230 marks, 35 marks are allocated to numerical problems (In Part I – 5 numerical problems, Part II – 5 numerical problems, and Part III – 3, numerical problems)
- In part III, 3 numerical problems should be given. Out of these three problems, any one numerical problem should be made compulsory. This compulsory problem should have an internal choice, provided both the problems must be from the same chapter (unit).
- Out of the 220 marks, at least 60% marks should be allocated for the questions from solved problems, self-evaluation questions and exercise problems. The rest will be from the content of the textbook
- MCQ – Multiple Choice Question VSA – Very Short Answer, SA – Short Answer LA – Long Answer

The design of the TN Board 12th Chemistry blueprint and marking scheme is given below:
- Time: 3 Hours Total Marks: 150
- There will be 12 short answer questions, 21 very short answer questions, and 30 objective questions.
- That is, part 1 will include 30 MCQs, part 2 will consist of 21 very short answers of which 15 should be answered and part 3 will contain 12 short answers of which 7 are compulsory.
- For part 4, there are 6 questions of which 3 need to be answered along with the one either-or type question that is compulsory.
