Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai conducts TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET). It is a university-level entrance exam conducted for admission to PG programs such as social work, human resource management, and public development studies offered by TISS. The TISSNET syllabus 2025 will shortly be released on the official website.
TISSNET syllabus 2025 outlines the topics and sub-topics under each section of the TISSNET exam. TISSNET syllabus is divided into three sections:
- English Proficiency
- Mathematical Skills
- General Awareness.
TISSNET 2025 will be held tentatively in the last week of February 2025, and TISSNET registration is already over on 9th December 2024.

- The PG program in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations offered at TISS campuses is comparable to the management programs offered by top MBA colleges in India.
- For General Awareness which comprises 40 Questions, one has to score a minimum of 14 marks. So, TISSNET has a sectional Cut-off of 14 marks in the GA Section.

TISSNET Exam Pattern
TISSNET Exam Pattern 2025 is an annual computer entrance examination for admission to the B.Ed course. The exam is online and consists of questions from three subjects: General Awareness, English Proficiency, Mathematical Skills, and Logical Reasoning.
- The TISSNET 2025 exam will be held in online mode
- The exam will have questions in the MCQ format
- The exam will have 100 marks and conducted for a duration of 100 minutes

Is TISSNET a Difficult Exam?
The TISSNET exam is moderately difficult for most students. However, the difficulty level always depends on how well you have prepared for the test. As per the last year’s question analysis:
- The Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability section had a total of 30 questions with 22 from Quant, six from Data Interpretation, and two from Logical Reasoning. This section was the easiest to attempt for the candidate who was well prepared.
- The General Awareness section was of moderate difficulty level. There was an equal distribution of questions between Current Affairs and Static GK.
- The questions in the English Proficiency & Language Skills section were of easy to moderate level barring a few from the Fill in the Blanks.
