MCAT Registration for Indian Students 2027

Indian students planning to take the MCAT in 2027 should have an AAMC ID, an MCAT-accepted government-issued photo ID, an accepted payment card, and their preferred test dates and international locations ready before registration. A passport is an accepted MCAT ID and is also important for international travel.

AAMC Account

Every MCAT booking needs an AAMC ID with a username and password. If you do not have one, the system asks you to create it before you log in.

• Existing AAMC ID: If you ever created one, you must use the same username and password.
• Login: Use the AAMC ID details to sign in to the MCAT Registration System.

Personal Details

Your first and last names must exactly match your test-day ID. Middle names and initials are not required, even if they appear on your ID.

• Nicknames or initials: Not allowed; enter your full legal name.
• Two last names on your ID: Enter both in the Last Name/Surname field.
• Only one name: Enter it as your first name and type "LNU" in the Last Name field.
• No legal first name: Type "FNU" in the First Name field.

Watch out: If your ID does not exactly match your registered names, you cannot test. AAMC treats it as a no-show with no refund, and the attempt counts.

Identification Document

AAMC accepts a government-issued, unexpired photo ID in English. A passport is an accepted MCAT ID and is particularly useful for Indian students who need to travel internationally for the test. Preferred Test Date

Test Mode

The MCAT is a computer-based test conducted at authorized test centres through Pearson VUE. India is not currently listed as an MCAT testing location for 2027, so Indian students must travel to an available international test centre to take the exam. There is no home-based MCAT option listed by AAMC for the 2027 testing year.

Yes, you can change your name in the MCAT Registration System until 10 days before the test. If you miss that deadline, submit an ID Exception Request under Service Requests between 3 and 10 days before the test. AAMC accepts no ID exceptions within 3 days of the exam.

No-Show Policy

No, a no-show gets no refund. A no-show counts as one of your MCAT attempts. An ID that does not match your registration also counts as a no-show.
