Data Science from Great Learning: A comprehensive Review

Faculty

The faculty was very supportive throughout the course. The faculty personally solve the doubts of the students who were facing any difficulty. The faculties also respond and we can directly approach the faculty as well. The faculties i like during my course was Mr. Gaurav Siwal, Mr. Mukul Kumar Singh Chauhan, Mrs. Namrata Thukral. There were not as such any faculty whom i didn't like. There were 9 modules and every module has 1 internal and 1 external exam so there were around 18 exams which i faces during my coursework, The exams were very relatable to the course curriculum and helped me alot to know about what are the things to be done in this field. There may be chance of people who might fail the exam but no worries they take exams as well of those people to give them the chance to clear it and be eligible for job.

Course Curriculum Overview

As in today's world, industry start considering data as an import part of there business so that's why i chose this field. This course prepares the student very well for the upcoming challenges and problems they face in this industry as they also give us same problems and helps us to solve them as well. I think the course curriculum is fine and does require any change in it, I think yhe only change required will be a bit more time for more understanding or better understanding of the things that are taught to us during course There exams timing is good as well as the difficulty as the exams were not very easy but also not very tough as well.

there is a two step process after registering first you have to give a screening that contain basic question of aptitude, reasoning on the behalf of this this you will be shortlisted for the course as well as scholarship is given on the basis of this test. after getting shortisted you have to give a short PI which will contain question about your academics/experience , why you want to do this course etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fee is somewhat around 350000 but you will get some referral and also get scholarship after deducing all this you have to pay lumsum 300000, and placement is good, if you studied well during the course you will definitely get a good job all depend how you absorb what has been taught to you, rest id good many companies come here for campus placement, they have a dedicated placement cell.

In my honest opinion they could still improve in lot of the functionality like there app system and there website, and also the way they keep exams and good thing is sometimes faculty are not so good as they seem, so institute considers the rating provided by students.

At first I got to know about this curriculum from my sister. After researching a lot this course time period is 5 month,so I selected this institute. After completing telephonic interview, they provided the admission. This interview was very easy.

Amazing five months

The campus was beautifully constructed and had big playgrounds where the students could play sports, there was a gym, a swimming pool. The students came from different backgrounds and there were more girls than boys at the campus. The libraries were fully equipped with good textbooks. It was a ragging free campus.

It was a five months course and the curriculum was very stressfree and relaxing but it demanded a lot of effort and only those kids who had the potential to understand the data science could qualify. The examinations were conducted finally at the end of the fifth month and we were granted the certificate.

Very good college

Expensive in relation to other similar courses but at the same time it's full time course so the fees kind of justifies. Loans are available though and are taken by many in my batch. Scholarships are also available but one needs to contact college to get them
