Location Facts

Lund University is based in the Skåne region of southern Sweden in Scandinavia, Northern Europe. Campus locations include Lund, Helsingborg, Malmö and Ljungbyhed. Lund University's main campus is located in the city of Lund, which is 15 minutes by train from Malmö (the third largest city in Sweden) and less than an hour from Copenhagen (Scandinavia's largest city and the capital of Denmark).


KTH Campus is the main campus of KTH located in the area of Östermalm. The other campuses are KTH kista, KTH Flemingsberg, KTH solna and KTH Sodertalje.


Library

Lund University library was established in 1668 at the same time as the university and is one of Sweden's oldest and largest libraries. The library serves 620,000 loans per year, the staff is 200 full-time equivalents, and the 25 branch libraries house 2600 reading room desks

In addition to the 25 libraries, the electronic library collection includes over 374 000 e-books, more than 30 000 e-journals and 200 databases – a goldmine for students and researchers!


The main library is located on KTH's main campus in central Stockholm. The KTH library is a central academic meeting place at KTH, and an arena for collaboration. The library also has two branch libraries, in Kista and Södertälje. The library currently focuses on electronic books and journals, and it is also responsible for the KTH part of DiVA, the institutional repository for research publications, where all KTH publications are collected. The library has extensive printed collections that have been built up over time. The rare books collection consists of 60,000 volumes from 1827 to 1960 and is located in the main library.
