Location Facts

SNHU’s 300-acre campus is located just minutes from downtown Manchester, NH. It’s also situated in a region that meets a variety of interests of our students, with the mountains to the north, the ocean to the east and Boston to the south. In 2017, SNHU acquired facilities at Nashua Airport, which includes a flight center, tower building and hangar. In partnership with Air Direct Airways (ADA), the School of Engineering, Technology and Aviation (SETA) offers hands-on instruction for its aeronautical and aviation programs here.



Library

Shapiro Library provides online access to leading business, science, education, and arts and sciences databases. The library has a selection of over 250 databases and contains full-text journals, magazines, reports and newspapers. In addition to these resources, it also provide information on copyright, intellectual property and open educational resources.



Campus Life

Situated on a beautiful 300-acre campus in Manchester, NH, SNHU has built a community where everyone feels welcome. SNHU's roughly 3,000 undergraduates enjoy small class sizes, personalized support, and career development built right into the curriculum, in addition to D2 sports, modern residence halls, and state-of-the-art facilities. These include a 50,000-square foot Library and Learning Commons, a beautiful Welcome Center, a green space in the center of campus for students to enjoy, and a dedicated engineering and technology building, which provides space and resources for SNHU's many STEM programs. Southern New Hampshire University has many student organizations on campus, including Radio SNHU (the campus radio station) and The Penmen Press (the student newspaper).  SNHU also publishes The Penmen Review, an online creative writing journal for students and alumni. Southern New Hampshire University participates in NCAA Division II athletics. It is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference and the Northeast-10 Conference. The teams' nickname, the Penmen, is an homage to the university's history as an accounting school. The university's mascot is named "Petey Penmen".
