RMS PGDM FAQs
Ques. Can I apply for PGDM immediately after completing my bachelor's degree, or do I need work experience?
Ans. Work experience is not mandatory for admission to the PGDM program at RMS Business School. Fresh graduates can apply directly after completing their bachelor's degree. However, the program is designed to accommodate both freshers and professionals with work experience. Many students join the PGDM program right after graduation to gain management skills and industry exposure before entering the corporate world. The admission process evaluates candidates based on their entrance exam scores, academic performance, and performance in the group discussion and personal interview rounds, not on work experience.
Ques. What is the difference between PGDM and MBA at RMS Business School, and which one should I choose?
Ans. Both PGDM and MBA are 2-year postgraduate programs at RMS Business School, but they differ in affiliation and curriculum approach. The PGDM is an autonomous program approved by AICTE with greater flexibility in curriculum design and industry alignment, while the MBA is affiliated with Gurugram University. The PGDM offers more specialization options and is often preferred by students seeking industry-focused, practical learning with emphasis on real-world business scenarios. The MBA follows a more traditional university-affiliated structure. Both programs have similar placement outcomes and fees. Your choice should depend on whether you prefer an autonomous, industry-aligned program (PGDM) or a university-affiliated degree (MBA).
Ques. How are the fees structured, and what payment options are available?
Ans. The total PGDM fee is INR 8,00,000 payable over 4 semesters. The fee breakdown includes registration fee (INR 50,000), tuition fee (INR 5,85,000), development fee (INR 1,12,500), corporate and training charges (INR 45,500), and IT/library charges (INR 7,000). Payment can be made through credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI via the RMS payment gateway. Additionally, education loans up to INR 3 crore are available through ICICI Bank with flexible repayment options and unlimited tax benefits on interest paid. The fees are payable in installments across semesters, making it manageable for students. Scholarships can reduce the tuition fee component significantly based on entrance exam performance.
Ques. What are the career prospects and job roles available after completing PGDM Marketing?
Ans. PGDM Marketing graduates from RMS Business School secure positions in diverse roles including Product Manager, Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, Sales & Business Development Manager, Market Research Analyst, and Advertising Account Executive. The 99% placement rate with average packages of INR 6.5-7 LPA demonstrates strong career prospects. Top recruiters include companies like Genpact, JustDial, Tata 1mg, Reliance, PhonePe, and Aditya Birla Group. Marketing specialization graduates are particularly sought after for roles in brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, and customer relationship management. The program's emphasis on practical learning through internships and live projects ensures students are job-ready upon graduation.
Ques. How does the summer internship program work, and what is its significance?
Ans. The Summer Internship Program (SIP) at RMS Business School is a mandatory 6-8 week program where each student works with reputed organizations across sectors including marketing, finance, HR, IT, and business analytics. The internship provides practical business exposure and real-world learning experience, allowing students to apply classroom concepts to live business scenarios. After completion, students submit a detailed internship report and presentation evaluated by faculty and industry mentors. The SIP is significant because it bridges the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, enhances employability, and often leads to full-time job offers. 100% of PGDM students secure internship placements, making it a crucial component of the program that prepares students for their post-graduation careers.
Ques. What is the admission timeline, and when should I apply to secure my seat?
Ans. The admission timeline for the 2026-28 batch is as follows: applications are currently open (January 2026 onwards) with a deadline of March 31, 2026. Document verification and counselling are scheduled for April-May 2026, and the batch commences in June 2026. To secure your seat, it is advisable to apply well before the deadline, as seats are limited (approximately 240 across all specializations). Early applicants have better chances of selection and can plan their entrance exam schedules accordingly. The entrance exams (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, SNAP) have different dates throughout the academic year, so candidates should register for their preferred exam and submit their application with the scorecard before the March 31 deadline.
