Institute of Architecture & Planning, Nirma University Ahmedabad Ph.D Architecture: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

A master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade
OR

A 4-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade
OR

An MPhil degree from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.

Candidates appearing in the final year Degree examination can also apply, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria at the time of joining the program.

• An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks as 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
• The candidates who qualify the UGC-NET (Including JRF) UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF) / GATE/GPAT with a valid score in terms of cut-off marks and duration, shall be exempted from appearing in the entrance test and deemed to be qualified for personal interview.
• The candidate, who is awarded category 1 in *NET examination will be granted full marks of written test.  The marks obtained in the *NET examination by the candidates in categories 2 & 3 will be valid for a period of one year for admission to Ph.D. The marks obtained in NET examination will be considered while finalizing the merit. The final merit will be computed applying weightage of 70% to written test and 30% weightage to interview.
• (The candidates who are exempted from Written/Entrance Test, will be awarded the highest marks scored by the candidates, who appeared in the Written/Entrance Test conducted by Nirma University for that particular discipline.)
