Ques. Is this program the same as a general B.Tech CSE, or is it a dedicated Cyber Security degree?
Ans. This is a specialized B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Hons.) with a dedicated Cyber Security and Threat Intelligence track, offered in association with Cisco. While the first two years cover core CSE fundamentals, from the third year onwards the curriculum focuses exclusively on cybersecurity subjects such as ethical hacking, digital forensics, malware analysis, cloud security, and advanced threat intelligence. The Cisco association also opens up certification pathways that are globally recognized in the cybersecurity industry.
Ques. What tools and technologies will I learn during this program?
Ans. Students get hands-on training with industry-standard cybersecurity tools including Wireshark for network analysis, Kali Linux and Metasploit for penetration testing, Nessus for vulnerability scanning, and Snort for intrusion detection. The program also covers AI-based security solutions, blockchain security, and cloud security platforms. With 9 fully equipped labs on campus, students get extensive practical exposure throughout the 4-year program.

Ques. What is the total cost of the program including hostel?
Ans. The total tuition and academic fee for the 4-year program is Rs. 13,35,200 (Rs. 3,33,800 per year). If a student opts for on-campus hostel accommodation, the annual hostel cost ranges from Rs. 1,72,100 (4-seater Non-AC) to Rs. 2,33,000 (3-seater AC) for boys, and Rs. 1,72,100 to Rs. 2,04,800 for girls. Hostel is optional and not mandatory. The caution deposit paid at the time of hostel allotment is refundable upon leaving, subject to no dues.
