PHCOA B.Arch FAQs
Ques. What is the minimum NATA score required for PHCOA B.Arch admission?
Ans. PHCOA does not publish a fixed minimum NATA cutoff. Admission is through DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds where merit is calculated using 50% weightage to NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 scores and 50% to 10+2 aggregate marks. The effective cutoff varies each year based on the applicant pool and available seats. Candidates are advised to check provisional and final merit lists on arch2026.mahacet.org for an accurate picture of previous-year cutoffs at PHCOA.
Ques. How does the DTE Maharashtra CAP counselling work for B.Arch?
Ans. DTE Maharashtra conducts a Centralised Admission Process for B.Arch. After registering on arch2026.mahacet.org and completing document scrutiny, candidates fill preferences for architecture colleges across Maharashtra. Allotments are released in multiple rounds. In the 2026 cycle, Round 1 allotment was released on 10 August 2026 and the Round 2 seat matrix was released on 14 August 2026. Candidates may upgrade preferences in subsequent rounds if eligible. The composite merit score weighs entrance marks and 10+2 marks equally at 50% each.
Ques. Is the PHCOA B.Arch approved by the Council of Architecture?
Ans. Yes. The B.Arch programme at PHCOA is approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, and affiliated to the University of Mumbai. COA recognition is a legal requirement for a B.Arch degree to be valid for professional practice in India. After completing the programme, graduates can register with the COA and practise as licensed architects or join architectural firms, government bodies, and urban planning agencies.
Ques. Does PHCOA provide hostel facilities for B.Arch students?
