Candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech. Programmes are required to appear in the JEE (Main) to be conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. All Admission shall be based on JEE (Main) all India Ranking.
Candidate must have 10+2 pass with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and pass marks in English and qualifying in AIEEE.
60% of available B. Tech. seats are reserved for the permanent residents of NE States. Candidates who fill-up Tezpur University application form shall be considered for the reserved seats. The applicants desiring a seat under NE quota must upload a PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate issued by the competent authority of any of the North Eastern states) along with the form. However, these applicants may also be eligible to get admitted to the open seats through central counselling procedure.
Admission to the remaining 40% open seats shall be made through the central counselling i.e. Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) based on JEE (Main)
Also direct admission facility is available to State Rank Holders of (10+2) Science Examinations of NE States and securing above 80% in aggregate.
The prospectus and form for applying for B. Tech. Programme is normally available from the Month of February to April every year and either can be downloaded from the University website or can be directly obtained from deignated stations as notified in the University website.
NOTE: Candidates of the following programmes will be required to pay an additional fee of Rs.1200/- per semester on account of consumables:

I paid year wise 53886 ,where tution fees 15000, library fees 400, student activity 500, admission fees 500, medical fees 300, transport fees 1000, laboratory fees 550, hostel fees 2000, medical insurance 1100. Also we were given and amount of 78000 per year in Issan Uday scholarship,there are also other scholarship like st kota were given an amount of 12000 per year

The tuition fees per semester is 27000 and hostel fees is approximately 70000-10000 per semester. The university does its best to provide the students. All eligible students are provided with national and state level scholarship. Students qualifying ugc net and gate receive stipends.

Many scholarships schemes are available as per NSP portal. Moreover assistance is provided to those belonging from BPL category. Fee structure for engineering is almost 27000 per semester and hostel charges includes mess fee which is 2500 approx varying from hostel to hostel.

The fee structure was quite economical. It was around 25,000 per semester and the mess was about 2,500 per month. Scholarships were available on a need basis. No campus employment was provided. No other charges were other apart from tuition fee and hostel mess fee

Tuition fees increase normally they do not increase as much they only increase like 1000 rupees or not even that the complete cause of the education including tuition service phase another hostel would be 27000 for semester which is not much. Scholarships such as ishanuday are available.

It is a gfti university, means government funded technical institute. So Student have to pay a reasonable amount here not very much not less. The compulsory charge re like hostle charges mess charges and other basic needs . scholarship are provided through state government which relay helps students.

As the data of last 10 year you can see no any changes in tuition fee . You can complete your B.Tech degree from here with investment of 6 lac approx. University doesn't help you for any kind of scholarship which is very bad

no increase in tuition fee and fee is affordable, financial aid is available for bpl students,one should work in the campus on his own expenses .some students work for their livelyhood by seeling food items
1st semester fees:34243. fees from 2nd semester to 8th semester:26943 so total fees including tution and hostel fees:222844,which is less from btech course point of view.placement here are ok ok type not very good not very bad.If you are considering placement then placement is good considering the marks based on which you are getting admission here.You can't expect 10 lpa job from civil branch if you have 150000 rank or 170000 rank in jee.
There are many scholarships in TU not only for Assam students but for others also. 2 scholarship is totally for Assam students and 2 for all students. If you are eligible for a scholarship you will get the scholarship
