KUU MA (Education) FAQs
Ques. Can I pursue MA (Education) at KUU directly after BA (Education), or do I need a B.Ed first?
Ans. You can pursue MA (Education) directly after completing BA (Education) or any other graduation degree with the required percentage. A B.Ed is not mandatory for MA (Education) admission. However, having a B.Ed can be an advantage as it provides practical teaching experience that complements the theoretical focus of MA Education. After MA Education, you can appear for UGC-NET to qualify for college teaching positions.
Ques. What is the total fee for the 2-year MA (Education) at KUU?
Ans. The total fees for the 2-year programme are approximately Rs. 7,166 for General category male students. SC/ST and female students pay slightly less. The extremely low fee makes this one of the most affordable MA programmes in Odisha.

Ques. What is the difference between MA (Education) and M.Ed? Which is better for a teaching career?
Ans. MA (Education) is an academic postgraduate degree focusing on the theory, philosophy, and research aspects of education. M.Ed (Master of Education) is a professional degree focused on teacher education and pedagogy. For college/university teaching, MA (Education) + UGC-NET is the preferred route. For school teacher education (training future teachers), M.Ed is more relevant. Both degrees are valuable; the choice depends on your career goal. KUU offers both programmes, so students can make an informed choice based on their aspirations.
