KBP College Ph.D. Physics Admission 2026
Ph.D. admissions at KBP College are conducted through an entrance test and personal interview, as per University of Mumbai's Ph.D. admission regulations. Candidates with CSIR-NET/JRF, UGC-NET/JRF, GATE (Physics), or JEST qualifications may be exempted from the entrance test. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Physics or a related subject from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled candidates).
- Candidates who have cleared M.Phil. coursework with at least 55% marks and successfully completed the M.Phil. degree are also eligible.
- Candidates with CSIR-NET/JRF, UGC-NET/JRF, GATE (Physics), JEST, or equivalent national-level qualifications are given preference.
- A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and viva voce is pending may also be admitted.
Admission Process
- Register online at enrollonline.co.in/Registration/Apply/KBP during the Ph.D. Physics registration window.
- Appear for the Ph.D. entrance test conducted by the college/university (candidates with CSIR-NET/JRF, UGC-NET/JRF, or GATE may be exempted).
- Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview with the research guide.
- Selected candidates must complete the enrolment formalities and pay the prescribed fees.
- Coursework (typically one semester) is mandatory for all Ph.D. students as per UGC regulations.
- Documents required: M.Sc marksheets, NET/JRF/GATE/JEST certificate (if applicable), research proposal, transfer certificate, character certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), passport-size photographs.
