Admission to the college is determined by a selection process that initially sorts students based on their cut-off marks. Necessary documents, such as marksheets and community certificates, must be submitted. Eligible students are granted their preferred course if available, or they must choose another option. Admission via the sports quota requires submitting certificates to the college sports council, followed by an interview and final selection list. The faculty is praised for being friendly, helpful, and supportive, with a strong emphasis on student needs and discipline.
The staff also assists beyond academics, while teachers maintain a supportive bond with students. Despite the top-notch faculty, classroom infrastructure is considered poor. The college features an affordable fee structure, with a semester fee of 450 rupees plus examination-related fees, as there are no additional college fees. Although placement opportunities through private companies exist, they may not fully meet expectations, and internships are not currently offered. Programs like WWS and ASAP support students in exploring higher education and placement opportunities, while the students' union provides PSC coaching.
Government-issued scholarships are available, with amounts based on the student's caste. These include a 900 rupee award for Tamil medium classes and a 10,000 rupee deposit into students' accounts. The e-grant scholarship covers examination fees.
