Admission to the engineering programs at the college is managed through the University Council, with eligibility largely determined by cutoff scores, especially for Anna University. Prospective students are encouraged to apply to autonomous institutions for an updated syllabus. The faculty includes a mix of professors, doctorates, and experienced assistant professors who offer excellent mentorship. Fees for tuition, hostel, and bus services are considered nominal, with event costs deducted from the mess bill.

The college hosts approximately 330 companies for placements, with over 700 students participating annually. Leading recruiters include TCS, Wipro, and Infosys, offering average packages around 10 LPA. The Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Mechanical & Automation (M&A) streams see placements with companies like TCS, CTS, Amazon, Zoho, and Ames Cruise, offering packages from 3L to 12L per year. However, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) placements are limited, and mechanical engineering currently lacks openings.
