Ans. No entrance exam is required for BPT admission at IPS Anjarakandy. Admission is entirely based on Plus Two PCB aggregate marks through the LBS Kerala Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). Students who performed well in Class XII Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are directly eligible to apply on the LBS portal. The merit list is prepared solely on academic performance, making this route accessible to students who did not sit for NEET or any other state-level entrance test.

Ans. The total fee for the BPT programme over four academic years is INR 3,21,400, which includes tuition of INR 2,39,000, special fees of INR 72,400, and a refundable caution deposit of INR 10,000. Fees are regulated by the Kerala Fee Regulatory Committee. NRI quota students pay a higher tuition of INR 1,00,000 per year. The internship semester does not carry separate academic fees under current KUHS norms.

Ans. BPT students complete their clinical postings and the mandatory six-month internship at Kannur Medical College, a large multi-specialty teaching hospital on the same Anjarakandy campus. The hospital provides hands-on exposure to physiotherapy across orthopaedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, paediatrics, and sports medicine departments. This integrated campus setup allows students to build consistent clinical hours without commute disruption throughout the four-year programme.

Ans. Graduates can work as clinical physiotherapists in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, sports clinics, and nursing homes across Kerala and other states. They are eligible to pursue MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) through KUHS-affiliated colleges or other national universities. Some graduates also appear for Kerala Public Service Commission health department recruitment or set up independent physiotherapy practices after gaining two to three years of clinical experience.

Ans. Yes, students from outside Kerala can apply under the NK-II (Non-Keralite) category through LBS CAP. However, NK-II students do not receive reservation benefits or fee concessions and compete on merit within their category. Management quota seats are also available through the college direct admission portal at ipms.etlab.in, open to all Indian nationals regardless of domicile.
